North County Black Book is an annual publication that profiles over 100 local Black community members who are making a positive impact. Through in-depth interviews and feature stories, the magazine highlights entrepreneurs, artists, educators, activists, and everyday changemakers whose work strengthens and uplifts North San Diego County’s Black community. By showcasing their achievements, North County Black Book celebrates community leadership, fosters connections, and inspires readers to engage with and support local initiatives.

About Event Organizer
Hey, I'm Brandon Bornes
I was born and raised in North San Diego County. I'm a California State Champion in the 300-meter hurdles and a former college football player at San Diego State University. I work in education, and I’m a proud husband and father of four. My strengths are in administration and marketing, and I’m passionate about uplifting and inspiring our local Black communities.
